What do Learners study?

Learners study a 20-lesson course over 6 to 12 months. Each of these lessons generally has five parts:

  • Two vocab assignments

  • A grammar assignment

  • A selection of other assignments designed to drill in these vocab and grammar learnings and/or help learners learn more about the language or culture, such as:

    • Listening

    • Reading

    • Pronunciation

    • Conversation

    • Language

    • Culture

    • Other (such as error correction or mystery assignments)

Learners are expected to finish all their assignments before the start of their Live Practice unless it’s just a suggested assignment (such as a culture assignment). These assignments are there to help motivate learners with a special interest in the people who speak their new language but aren’t essential to the course.
